Special Educational
Needs
Our school governers who have special responsibilty in this area are Mrs S
Dennis (a parent governor) and Mrs E Norman (our chair of governors). Mrs
H Love (SENSS Teacher) is responsible for the arrangements to identify
and meet the needs of these pupils. The teachers within school who have
responsibility for the SEN groups are Mr T Caulfield (Y3/4) and Mrs S
Fawn(Y5/6).

Children, who have difficulties in reading, writing and maths, work in small
groups with extra adult support. Their intellectual, emotional and physical
needs are recognised, and Individual Educational Plans are put in place to
address these needs. Children who have behavioural difficulties are
supported by Individual Pastoral Support Programmes, outreach workers
from Phoenix House and the Multi Agency Support Team (MAST).

We liase closely with all the support services and parents of SEN children.
We feel this aspect of our school's work is a great strength and we have
been commended on this by OFSTED.

If you would like to see our Special Edicational Needs Policy or discuss the
individual needs of your child please feel free to contact the school.
